Elinor Waterman Chartrand Papers, 1930-1946.

The Elinor Waterman Chartrand (EWC) Papers cover the period 1930-1946 and contain correspondence, receipts, a diary, scrapbook and photograph albums, course notes and exercise books, examinations, class handouts, and teaching materials and manuals. The bulk of the papers, 1930-1939, document the social and academic life of a 1930's female college student and her early teaching career. The diary, covering the years 1930-1934, illuminates the daily life and concerns of a college student who, while living at college, maintains a close relationship with her family. There is an unexplained gap in the diary from March 21, 1932 to July 20, 1932.
